Monday, August 27, 2007 AntiBunny #76 New art style today. Big change, don't you think? I've replaced my old set of pencils with a shiny new set of manga brush pens. This is the kind of look I've been striving for. It provides an organic feel that comes with traditional media but is much more polished and smooth than pencils. Additionally it takes a bit less time since the brushes have a wider stroke than pencils. That means less worry of missing updates. Of course as you can tell I haven't quite gotten it all the way perfect yet, but as I adjust to the new media the quality should improve. Story wise we get to see a little bit of Dark Pooky, establishing more about his past and Pooky's childhood. You've seen before only Dark Pooky being at odds with Pooky, so this is quite important that we see there was also a friendship between the two. It struck me that Pooky was too close to being happy in Haunted Junction so I had to bring out a little of the old unsociable personality. Pooky isn't Pooky without the angst and bitterness.
